Thank you for taking the time to find out about our wonderful school.
Adolescence is an extremely important period in a child's life and we look forward to working with you to support your child's learning and ensure that they have all the skills and attributes to be successful now and in the future.
Intermediate school offers many opportunities and it is really important to make the most of them and try new things. There are many sporting and cultural activities as well as academic opportunities, such as chess and electronics clubs and leadership roles. All of these experiences add to your child’s education and help to build skills and confidence.
We want our students to leave our school as confident, articulate young men and women who will thrive in a secondary school environment. Our programmes, initiatives and approach to learning foster this.
We believe that students learn best when they are happy, feel safe and know that they are valued. This is the environment that we work hard to create and maintain. We welcome your input and involvement! We can make a big difference to your child's learning when we work together to support
them. By working together with you we can help your child to really get the most from their learning.
At MRI our team of skilled teaching professionals are focused on setting high expectations that ensure that every child experiences the success of which they are capable. Teachers have a sound, up to date understanding of current teaching, learning and assessment strategies. Because of this, our students consistently make accelerated progress in their learning.
Our 2013 ERO review noted the high quality learning programmes and excellent teaching that the school provides. We received an excellent review that placed us on a 5-year review cycle; the highest a school can obtain.
We look forward to building a strong and lasting relationship with you and your child as they move through our school.
