MRI BADGES AND PINS

 

There are five types of badges that students can work toward gaining. These should be sewn under the school crest of student’s jumper.

 

 Merit Star

Dark green with a gold star in the center

Awarded at the end of each term for students who strive to do their best in class or in a specialist area.

Awarded to students who represented Mt Roskill Intermediate in an academic event

 

 Attainment Cup

Dark green with gold trophy in the center

Awarded at the end of each term to the students who are at the top of a classroom or specialist subject

 

 Citizenship Bar

A yellow and a green horizontal band

Awarded at the end of each term for the students who displayed outstanding citizenship/leadership

 

 Sports Star

Yellow with a dark green star in the center

Awarded for the top members of a Central Zone team that is placed first or second at a zone tournament

Awarded for the top member of a Central Zone team at a zone tournament

 

 Behaviour Bar

Five vertical bands: yellow, green etc.

Awarded to students who have received 6+ behaviour credits, for constantly displaying a positive behaviour/attitude

 

Merit Stars, Attainment Cups, and Citizenship Bars are chosen by form and specialization teachers.

 

 

There are five types of pins you can receive after gaining a title.

 

 Librarian 

White, with black lettering

 

 Class Councillor

Black, with white lettering

 

 Social Mentor

Gold, with black lettering

 

 House Captain

Blue/green/yellow/red, with black lettering

 

 Sports Captain

Gold, with black lettering
